Accurate data
1Des is a relational database system that ensures accurate data entry from where all documents are generated. This means that data lives in ONE place and changes only have to be made in ONE place and all documents will be correctly updated.

CAD and Database independent
1Des has an internal drawing editor that saves documents in DGM format but can also save all DGM documents as DWG or PDF formats without the requirement of any additional software installed. 1Des can connect to Microsoft Access or SQL databases as required, changes can be made to the table without the requirement of any other software installed.

Speed Tools
1Des is one of the most productive design tools with many sped building tools like:

• Bulk datasheets.

• Bulk loop builder.

• Bulk document builder for loops and panels.

• Bus device associations.

• Cable drum allocations.

• Except of the normal import per table tools, 1Des also provide a bulk import tool for many tables at a time.

• Bulk assignment of manufacture standard to motors, instruments, cables, cards, etc. Using drag drop capabilities.

• Bulk rebuild of Tstrip terminals, Cables Cores, etc. Using drag drop capabilities.

1Des also has a spreadsheet view of all the data tables to do bulk update or viewing of information. These spreadsheet views also have multi column filtering methods as well as the capabilities to sort on any field by just clicking on the field header or field name. 

 Integration to other systems
Data in all the tables can be exported to various formats like XLS,CSV,TXT, etc to enable other software systems to re-use the same data like the PLC/DCS, SCADA, etc systems. These list can also be imported to add more data records or to update the existing records. A P&ID tag extra-action tool is provided to gather information from DWG files and import it into 1Des. A Wonderwave Galaxy Model builder is provided to build the ArchestrA model from the 1Des database.

Change control and document management
All 1Des documents like the connection diagrams, report and datasheets are saved in their respective revision folders so that all previous can be viewed. By using the Updater Repository button, all the about document’s latest revisions are copied into one central repository folder anywhere on your network as user defined.
Three access levels to a project is allowed, namely Guest, Designer and Administrator. Change Control can be switched on at any stage of the project phase and will start monitoring any changes or additions made to specified fields and will save the date, the old and new values, the tables and the logged-in name.
